Apple Bread

One of my family's favorite fruit is apples. We wanted to try to make this into a bread and it turned out delicious! I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups finely chopped apples, peeled and cored
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½  cup melted butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons sour milk buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F Lightly grease and flour a 9 ¼ -by-5 ¼ -by-2 ¾ -inch loaf pan

Peel, core, and chopped 2 cups of apples.

In a large bowl, blend together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and apples.

In a medium bowl beat the eggs until foamy before beating in the butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Combine the two mixtures, blending until the dry ingredients are moistened.

Scrape the batter into the pre-pared pan and bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until top is golden brown. Remove the pan from the oven and invert onto a wire rack to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before removing the loaf from the pan

Enjoy!

Easiest Champagne Cupcakes!

Happy New Year! As the new year is celebrated, people are always looking for an easy treat to bring to any party! This year I made champagne cupcakes! These cupcakes are very light and fluffy with a hint of champagne. Because I am under age, I could not pair these cupcakes with a champagne frosting which would have brought out the simple flavor of champagne in the cupcake.

For this recipe, you will need two ingredients: boxed white cake mix and champagne. This is by far the simplest recipe I have ever seen.

Tip: Sift the mix instead of just dumping it in for lighter cupcakes.

Instead of adding the water as called for in the recipe on the box, substitute with champagne. I also found the champagne makes the cupcakes much fluffier than they are with water.

As I said earlier, I could not pair them with champagne frosting, so I topped them with whipped cream which complemented the lightness of the cupcake!

 Enjoy!
